Next in line is a big boat for the layout. This time however I design it as a full blown R/C Model Ship in 1:87 HO-Scale, because this one is large enough to warrant a potential R/C Ship build. THis Multi Purpose Vessel 4916 is named after it’s mission description an dimensions. The basic hull is 49 metres long and 16 metres wide (approximately). And this will be a side project and as such a slow build. So far, the basic hull is taking shape, using lots of guesswork and rule of thumb execution, because the first ship of that line from my favorite shipbuilder will hit the water sometime in 2027 and is therefor quite new. Virtually no data is available online and on top of that no prototype fotos currently exist. So here is a first rendering of the hull.
The basic Dimensions in HO-Scale are about L: 52 cm x W: 17 x H: 12 cm, and below I will eventually add a full build description.
